Spring 2026

With spring’s unpredictable weather, we experienced winter, spring, and summer in March and April. There were days with flashes of 70 degrees and then more snow in both months. Through it all, our crocus, hyacinth, and daffodils braved the elements and shot up shoots of green by the end of March and by April we had blooms. Our turkeys have returned to graze at the bird feeder and parade through the yard and around the neighborhood. Our finch couple have roosted back in their nest outside our side door under the carriage way. On nice days with doors and windows open, we can hear the birds welcome the warmer weather with their bright song.

Our newsletter includes more pictures and stories from the season.

Thank you

We would like to thank Mike Harrell and Jackie and Ron Dexter for their generous donations of goods for the house. We thank Babe DuFresne for the supersized cancelled stamp collection that he gave us. We sell these cancelled stamps and then donate the proceeds to our friends in Honduras. Our thanks to Tony and Sandy Menke for the delicious cookies they made for us. We also want to thank them for always remembering each of us on our birthdays with cards and the generous gift included inside. We thank Duane Jagiello and his friends for coming over and playing music for us and giving us the opportunity to sing along. We also thank Duane for foffering communion to us each month.
