Who We Serve
Amy Johnson Residence serves adults living with significant and persistent mental illness who may also need support with medical care, medications, daily living, or other aspects of everyday life. Every prospective resident is reviewed individually before placement to determine whether the setting and level of support are a good fit.
Funding + Placement Considerations
Funding is only one part of placement. Every prospective resident is reviewed individually to determine whether Amy Johnson Residence can safely and appropriately meet their needs within the shared living community.
Amy Johnson Residence accepts residents using:
CADI Waiver
Elderly Waiver
BI Waiver
Private Pay
Housing Support (formerly GRH)
What We Consider:
Ambulatory status (the home is not handicap accessible)
Mental-health and medical support needs
Medication stability
Ability to live safely in a shared setting
Fit with the existing resident community
How Placement Works
Ask About Availability — Contact Amy Johnson Residence to ask about current openings and potential fit.
Share Basic Information — Provide initial information about the prospective resident’s needs, diagnoses, medications, and current situation.
Visit or Meet the Resident — Prospective residents are typically invited to visit the home. If a visit is not possible, the Amy Johnson team may meet the person in another setting, such as a hospital.
Complete Intake + Records Review — If the placement still appears appropriate, the team gathers more detailed health history, medication information, and other intake materials.
Team Review + Next Steps — Administration and nursing review the information, consider fit with the current resident community, and determine whether to move forward.
